OUR PROGRAMME

I am a child:

I am not built to sit still,

 Keep my hands to myself,

Take turns, Stand in line,

Be patient, Or keep quiet ALL OF THE TIME.

 I need Motion,

Adventure and

To engage the world with my whole body.

LET ME PLAY. (Trust me  I am learning.)

We believe that children need to be able to use concrete experiences to provide the building blocks for their learning.  So with this in mind, we utilize play, modelling, painting, role play, investigating, obstacle course as the medium for learning.

Activity based learning will be a predominant way for children to learn and achieve the goals and objectives, but at the same time our programme is guided by CBSE/ICSE curriculum, which will give your child a smooth transition to primary school.

Our kindergarten programme is based on our experience of how young children learn and develop, and that each child is unique in their own way.    By combining this knowledge, with the goals of the Early Years Foundation Framework, and guidance from CBSE/ICSE curriculum, the Magic Stars team plan appropriate learning experiences that will give each child the opportunity to reach his/her full potential

Hygiene and Safety

Magic Stars maintains a high standard of cleanliness to provide a safe and healthy environment for your child. There is a regular routine of washing hands, particularly before and after snack and also after any messy play activity.

Children are encouraged to take pride in their own school. To develop positive social skills in children, we have routine practice of ensuring children have good table manners, putting things back in their place after they finish working with it, and keeping their school clean and tidy.

We take safety of children very seriously. Our gates are kept locked after 9.30am and will be opened at close of session. We do not let a child go home with a person who has not been introduced to the team and if we have not been informed in advance of any changes in who would be picking the child.

Children, who are likely to be picked up regularly by 3rd party, will require ID proof, which Magic Stars can arrange on request.

Assessment

Evaluation is a continuous process and will be throughout the year.  The assessment is not exam based but the holistic development of the child.

Our criteria are to focus on what skills they are acquiring and relating to what they are learning.

The evaluation is about the children’s work rather than their ability to perform under exam conditions.

This approach helps to take appropriate steps promptly to address any gaps in the learning, without making the children conscious of it.
